UsedDetectors.com is a website created to help buyers and sellers come together to accomplish a mutually beneficial transaction.  The idea for the website was inspired by the owners of High Plains Prospectors out of Kansas City - one of the leading metal detector dealers in the U.S.  The we saw a need for customers to sell, trade, or exchange various types of metal detectors and gold prospecting equipment.  Other than E-Bay or Marketplace, there was not a single, reliable place for the hobby's enthusiasts to go to get the best deal on a used metal detector.

High Plains sells hundreds of pieces of used equipment every year and our website garners thousands of views each month. In our retail store and online, we have helped a number of our customers sell their products on consignment to free up cash for a new detector or to help pay for unexpected life expenses.  

With the ability to help buyers and sellers come together, the new Metal Detector Marketplace was a natural progression for High Plains Prospectors.  We hope to help you accomplish your goal of either buying or selling your next pre-owned metal detector or gold prospecting gear and getting the best deal quicker for each party.
