Your goal is to sell your treasure hunting gear quicker and get the best deal. Our goal is to help you do that. We ask that you follow some basic guidelines to make that easier for us both.
Seller Guidelines
Sellers are expected to act in a manner that is honest and up-front with the quality, condition, and age of the gear they plan on selling. Misrepresenting the quality and condition of an item will result in the suspension of your account and potential forfeiture of all or a portion of any funds exchanged in a transaction.
Here are some things to have ready when listing your metal detector. Following these recommendations will help you sell your gear faster and more efficiently.
Provide Detailed Information
- Provide as much information about the item(s) you are selling and as many pictures as possible (age, amount of use, any repairs or new parts, etc.) Make it a paragraph.
- Provide multiple pictures of the items from different angles. Take closeup pictures of important parts (i.e. coil, control box, etc.). Take pictures of any damage or defects.
Buyers Rights
Buyers on UsedDetector.com have 7-days from the date of RECEIPT purchase to inspect their order. Within this period the unsatisfied Buyers can cancel their order and request a refund. Buyers will be responsible for sending the item(s) back to the seller in its original condition within 10-days at their expense. Upon return you will have 3-days to contact us and confirm it is okay to refund the money. After 15-days with no Seller-Buyer disputes, funds will be released and the sale shall be considered final.
Important Note to Sellers
Although we can typically help you sell your detector quicker and with less hassle than other methods, we understand you may sell your detector to a friend or third-party prior to selling it on our website.
If you happen to sell your gear to a party outside of UsedDetectors.com you will need to IMMEDIATELY remove your listing from the site. In the event your listing sells on the site and is no longer available, you may be responsible for any incurred costs and could result in the forfeiture of a percentage of the site sales price due to credit card processing fees incurred by the site.
Do not list items you do not want to sell on the site.
At our discretion we will provide you a shipping label at our cost. This cost will be deducted from any sales proceeds in addition to UsedDetectors.com's standard commission.
